NAOMI YOUNG
Naomi Young is the daughter of pioneering world champion Australian surfer and celebrated author Nat Young. She was born to the beach but has travelled the world experiencing the value systems of many cultures, seeing first hand the true human cost of consumerism and capitalism and the inherent beauty in local art and craft. All of these experiences have shaped her personal and professional ethos.
Naomi knows the ocean, knows design, and is committed to both form and function, aesthetics and beauty, but not at the expense of purpose. Naomi is deeply spiritual and committed to ethical consumerism.
YoungSurf is the culmination of research and design and years of thought. YoungSurf combines Naomi’s passions for elegant design, care for self and the environment, ethical business practices and a desire to reinvigorate the raw materials used in her products, the partners she has chosen in their making and the women that wear them.
FAQ
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, YoungSurf is a global brand that ships across Australia (our home) and across the globe to most destinations. Delivery times vary depending on the local postal service in the destination Country.
Which size is best for me?
Our wetsuits are standard sizes however because of the unique arm design, they may feel tighter than an average wetsuit. If you are not sure, go up a size. We will gladly exchange your wetsuit for a different size if it meets our return policy.
How tight should my wetsuit be?
Your wetsuit is made to withstand the elements while you're in the water. To stay warm and prevent drag, it needs to fit snuggly on your body. Your wetsuit should feel tight upon its first wear. It will relax after a few wears and feel less restrictive over time.
What are your wetsuits made of?
Our wetsuits are made of ecofriendly 2mm Neoprene, a mineral based alternative to petroleum based neoprene that provides superior performance compared to traditional neoprene, including higher heat retention, a lighter weight and a material that is soft as silk. Our printed designs are sublimated into the neoprene for long lasting design durability.
How do I care for my wetsuit to extend its life?
Simply rinse your wetsuit in fresh cold water after each use and leave it to dry laid flat or hanging out of sunlight. Try not to fold your wetsuit as it dries to avoid creases.
Does my wetsuit come with a warranty?
Yes, it does. We offer a 12 month warranty on genuine manufacturer faults. To claim your warranty, you must send the wetsuit to PO Box 71 Freshwater NSW 2096, with your name and contact information, as well as details of the fault. We don't cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by improper care or wetsuits used for commercial purposes. Wetsuits that you have attempted to repair yourself or by another service will not be covered. Please keep your proof of purchase to validate your warranty period.
